While not to first to release an x58 mATX motherboard variant, EVGA certainly intends to do things right with their EVGA x58 SLI Micro Motherboard released today.

It works around Socket LGA1366 and supports all of Intel’s current line of Core i7 processors and supports a full six DIMM’s of DDR3-1600. It comes with the usual assortment of expansion slots; 2 PCI-Ex16, 1 PCI-Ex1 and 1 PCI, a modest 6 SATA 2 ports with raid as well as all the onboard extras included with the x58/ICH10R chipsets. The board is capable of both SLI or Crossfire in case you decided to build a LAN Party power house.
