While not to first to release an x58 mATX motherboard variant, EVGA certainly intends to do things right with their EVGA x58 SLI Micro Motherboard released today.
The board boasts the same features found on most of EVGA’s full size motherboards. It works around Socket LGA1366 and supports all of Intel’s current line of Core i7 processors and supports a full six DIMM’s of DDR3-1600. It comes with the usual assortment of expansion slots; 2 PCI-Ex16, 1 PCI-Ex1 and 1 PCI, a modest 6 SATA 2 ports with raid as well as all the onboard extras included with the x58/ICH10R chipsets. The board is capable of both SLI or Crossfire in case you decided to build a LAN Party power house.
While most mATX boards skimp on the overclocking, this unit still includes all of EVGA’s typical goodies, including VDroop control, E-LEET Tuning and EZ Voltage points.
The board should be making its way onto retailer’s shelves shortly and is currently listed at a price of $199USD and $249 CAD
