Zalman, a leading cooling solution provider has finally broken their long standing tradition of cooler designs , and opted for a more traditional, but no less unique, cooling solution!
When computer enthusiasts gather and the name Zalman comes up, the first thing we picture is their innovative and unique line of CNPS ‘Tunnel’ Coolers. Through much of their product line, from the CNPS900 to the CNPS9900 i7, the core design has kept the same principal, only receiving minor tweaks over the years.
As the times change , so do the demands of users. And that brings us to the newest product in the Zalman arsenal of cooling solutions. The CNPS 10x Extreme. Boasting a blue LED 120mm fan and tower design as well as featuring a copper base with aluminum fins, it may look like your typical CPU cooler, but it hides a unique and interesting feature.
Mounted on the top shroud lies a small removable PWM controller. Unlike traditional coolers with optional fan controls, Zalman has integrated theirs right into the cooler and allowed the user many more options beyond just turning a small (and sometimes poorly located) knob. Not stopping there, they have also placed LED’s on this controller which gives anyone using it, a visual guide as to which setting they have running (3 Auto Settings, and 1 Manual)
Not only does this cooler show promise of excellent cooling performance, while looking extremely aggressive, it also has listed support for Intels upcoming i5 platform. Buyers need not worry when purchasing the the upcoming Intel releases; Zalman, has you covered.
