xiga 300x285 Xigmatek Carbonado CPU Cooler is ReadyXigmatek has in the past really made some high performance coolers that we have come to love. Living up to that expectation from them is a new champion. They call it Carbonado, and it is built to impress.

Front and centre the first thing to notice is the dark almost sinister black nickel finish that adorns this cooler. Giving those with side panel windows on their case something to appreciate. Moving the heat is accomplished by 4 U-Shaped 8mm heatpipes that are in direct contact with the CPU (H.D.T technology). 8mm is fast becoming the new standard for all the new coolers we see launched to date.

The fan is of the PWM variety and comes equipped with 4 White LED’s giving this cooler even more flare when installed. It comes mounted not with clips but Rubber anti-vibration mounts which is a welcome sight for those who value a quiet solution. Mounting support is wide and varied with AM2 and up supported, as well as Intels LGA775 to their newest LGA1156. Weighing in at 660g the Carbonado falls under the mid-range cooler variety being neither the lightest nor heaviest cooling solution out there.

Availability is said to be soon, but pricing has not yet be determined at the time of this posting.
