200961217223641404 Thermaltake EVO Blue Powering Your Computer Has Never Looked So Good

Since their inception in 1999 Thermaltake has had a long history of unique designs. Adding to this lineup of products, comes the EVO_Blue, built with the soul of Thermaltake and the heart of an enthusiast.

For the past year the trend has been for PSU’s to become bigger and more efficient. Realistically however few of us will find proper use for the wide variety of 1kW+ units that have flooded the market place.

This tends to leave the everyday user and builder searching amidst the sea of mid-level units that exist today. A new trend is emerging however; many companies are going back to the drawing board and re-inventing the mainstream power supply. Thermaltake is the latest in companies adopting this new strategy.

The EVO_Blue is set to be released in three varieties. With the lowest entry being a 550W unit, all the way up to a 750W version. They will all come equiped with modular cables; another trend that has become the standard in power supply evolution. They will also feature a single 12V+ rail as opposed to the more commonly employed multi-rail design.

EVO_Blue 550W W0306 3 4 Active 14cm Black 36A 75%

Rounding out the whole design is a multi-coloured LED setup, built around a large, silent 140mm fan in addition to meshed openings on all sides of this PSU. With SLI and Crossfire support featured , and multiple 8-pin/6-pin PCI-e connectors available the EVO_Blue is built ready for today’s end user.

At the time of this posting the release date and retail price had yet to be determined.
