NZXT, a company built on realizing the dreams of gamers worldwide, is proud to announce Phantom, the company’s most elegant and intelligent chassis design to date. Phantom exudes sophistication with pristine contours and a robust menu of high performance features that will satisfy the demands of even the most discerning PC enthusiast.
High Performance Cooling Advantages – Phantom’s extensive cooling capabilities include 7 fan cooling options with dual 200mm, single 230/200mm, triple 120mm, and front 140mm fans. For enhanced control and expandability, NZXT includes dual radiator support, quad watercooling cutouts, and an integrated fan controller with up to five 20W channels.
Extensive Compatibility and Expandability – Features support for larger heat sinks, graphics cards, and E-ATX motherboards enabling enthusiasts to include any of today’s hottest components. Vast space within the enclosure allows for 7 hard drives with SDD support and up to five 5.25” bays.
Simple Installation – Phantom celebrates an array of innovative features designed to enhance every stage of the build. Meticulous wire management is easily attainable with large spacing behind the motherboard. The innovative all-new 5.25” screwless rails make installing and swapping HDDs an effortless process.
Additional Advanced Features – Further distinct features include an LED on/off button to control case lighting, rubber PSU and case feet to reduce vibration, easily removable front and top panels, and top mounted USB, Audio/Mic, and E-SATA ports.
“This is the most intelligent and elegantly designed chassis we’ve ever conceived” said Johnny Hou, Founder and Chief Designer at NZXT. “The profoundly unique contours combined with a highly functional, robust feature set solidifies Phantom as one of the most innovative case designs on the market.”
NZXT reached out to the enthusiast community and enlisted the design input from the renowned modder of the L.O.S.I.A.S., Rogue, and OSIDIAS Projects, Craig Brugger, to aid in the creation of Phantom. “NZXT has shown that there are still companies willing to listen to the community, and that collaboration can lead to innovation and a product with few compromises,” remarked Brugger.
Phantom will be available in early September in White, Red, and Black for the MSRP of $139.99. For more information, visit http://www.nzxt.com/new/products/crafted_series/phantom.

Ok this caseis simply the best NZXT ever made. Lot's or room, good cable management, place for rad ( not tripple but double dual ) good cooling potention. And the White and red are SEXY DAMN!!!! I want one!
July 28, 2010 11:26 AM
That is one nice looking case.

I'm so torn. On the one hand, I've never been a huge fan of NZXT because of their extreme overuse of cheap flimsy plastic + thin metal.
On the other hand this case looks so wild and out there, not to mention appears to have some great cable management features, that the looks could just be worth the price alone, despite the poor quality materials.

THIS.... CASE... IS.... HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do those extension cables with the white strips on each cable come with the case?

What will propel sales of the Phantom is Debunking the thought of the bezel and top panel being made from cheap plastic. I was apprehensive at first, but was pleasantly surprised.
NZXT has a new factory building their cases. I predict once it gets into people's hands who see it first hand, and they start talking about it how it's not flimsy, then the sales will kick into overdrive. It's a matter of how long before the word of mouth hits the community.

Well I must admit that this case looks absolutely awesome to me!!! Well thought out and constructed by the looks of it. The different colour schemes look very good. My daughter loves red and if she sees this it may be on its way here soon enough.

Awesome to hear Bill! Thanks for the video review :D
Just did a few skips through and you are right, it does seem like a whole new breed of NZXT products.

I'm customizing one for NZXT and fell in love with it. I told NZXT yesterday
"You will have to pry it away from cold rigor mortis fingers after I'm dead"
The fact that the exterior and top is so different, it grows on you.

I am not usually a fan of plain white, but it's been used very well here, Love at first sight lol. I also like the way they used a page out of Lian Li's book, they put an extra hdd bay at the bottom, which also makes cable management a whole lot simpler.. Could even put a pump right on top of it, short tubes. smart idea.
Well FixT.. when....

2nd top fan seems rather restricted?
Not really enough space to mod it either.
And shame it doesn't support a 360 or 480 radiator up top
Still pretty nice case.
July 28, 2010 12:29 PM
That simply looks lovely. I will have to see some reviews.

Im thinking of buying the case just for the heck of it. I dont even have anything to put in it.

I forgot to mention that the side panel fans, 2 x 120mm and 1x 200mm include filters. Only the front lacks an intake fan and filter.
July 29, 2010 07:27 AM
One question that I do have about this case is in regards to the side pannel.
I see there is room there for a 200mm fan correct? Is that mounting bracket for the fan made of plastic or steel? The only thing i would personally do to the case, would be to remove that fan bracket and make a window. To me, thats the only thing missing from this case.

The reason I came here was because of FixIT's video reviews. I sent him a PM on YouTube after watching one of his case reviews just to tell him how refreshing it was

oh yeah the ripping of the piccies. meh, bury the hatched boys. have a cold one.lol.

He makes the worst REVIEWS around. There's nothing subjective to it. It's a guided tour. "Look, it has 8 hard drive bays and 5 120mm fans. It is big and red. This is how the fans sound (no comparative noise, hard to tell how loud it REALLY is, no dB meter). It gets a KICK-ASS rating because I got it for free!"
EDIT: Nothing wrong with his Q&A and all that stuff though, he just doesn't make any real verdicts.
July 29, 2010 11:29 PM
I prefer Bill's video over Mr. KICKASS's video.
At least Rodney got rid of the manufacturer poster and non-related product schlepping from his videos.
