Noctua 300x292 Noctua Announces Special Edition NH C12P SE14Among the DIY crowd, one name tends to stand out among the rest when it comes to cooling. Known for their unique colouring scheme and silent yet efficient fans, Noctua brings forth a special edition cooler, the NH-C12P SE14.

We have seen many coolers come from this Austrian Based company, and today a new cooler promises to fulfill the desires of even the most jaded enthusiast. Based upon their new NF-P14 fan and featuring a very bold and unique fin structure the SE14 has potential written all over it.

Something interesting and worth noting is the gaps in the upper fin structure. They are placed there to specifically allow cooler air to head downwards and help with Motherboard MOFSET and Chipset cooling. This unique innovation is something that many users of aftermarket coolers will truly appreciate. Six long and curved heatpipes are responsible for moving the thermal load from the contact plate to the fins. And the fins, which extend all the way down to the base, provide sufficient surface area to help cool the hottest of CPU’s.

Also included is the Noctua SecuFirm2 mounting system which has support for Intel 775 all the way to 1156 and AM2 to AM3.

Availability and pricing is unknown but like a lot of Noctua coolers, expect to pay a premium.
