LMX Superleggera 1 300x266 Danamics Brings Their LMX Cooler to the MainstreamWe have seen just recently Danamics bring forth their Revised LMX cooler. For those unaware it is a Tower cooler that circulates Liquid Metal (Sodium Potassium) to act as the cooling medium. One of the biggest hurdles was actual Unit Cost. This is where the Superleggera hopes to capitalize on.

The Superleggera features all the same setup as the original LMX it was based on, with some notable exceptions. Mounting comes in two varieties one for AMD and one for Intel, and this looks to be a good idea for ways to cut costs and pass the savings on to customers. The other change is the exclusion of any fans allowing the end user to choose their favorite and mount it on (it accepts both 120x25mm and 120x38mm units).

Priced in at 100 Euros it still doesn’t come cheap, and of course using liquid metal cooling materials means it’s availability in North America is yet to be known. If it does come however we can see it going toe-to-toe with both the highest end Air Coolers and Compact WC kits alike.
