“Started from the bottom now we’re here” may have been the anthem of Blackberry CEO Thorstein Heins after the successful Blackberry 10 launch last week, but when his creative director recites the same lyrics she does it from her iPhone.

Blackberry Creative Director Alicia Keys tweeted the hook from Drake’s new diddy “Started from the bottom” early Monday morning.

Upon realizing the mistake she quickly took the tweet down claiming she had been hacked.

As Creative Director of Blackberry, Ms. Keys serves as a brand ambassador and consultant for the company.

A Twitpic made by her on Sunday night from the backstage of the Grammy’s shows a Blackberry Z10 on her dressing room table and an iPhone ready for use.

    Haha. Exactly. I thought at first it was actually someone important in Blackberry not some washed up celebrity who hasn’t been heard from in over 10 years. Shes paid to use a Blackberry but picked up her personal phone by mistake and then claimed she was hacked. I hope Blackberry fire and sues the crap out of her for breach of contract.

    That’s stupid. Why is BlackBerry paying Alicia Keys to use a BlackBerry Z10 if she is not passionate about the platform? If she is just paid to be a pretty face for the company why did they hire her in the first place?

    What they should have done is hired someone who is truly passionate about the platform. All this will do is make BlackBerry look bad, it looks as If they are trying to deceive the public into considering a BB Z10 because a celebrity is pretending to be behind the company.

    That’s just a stupid move by BlackBerry, not Alicia keys, she’s just being paid to do this..

    Probably both BB and her fault for being so stupid. BB for hiring whatever dumb celebrity (not sure if she’s Canadian) for “PR boost,” and her for totally breaching contract, like igot6strings said. Although, If we were still pre-Z10 era, I wouldn’t blame her for choosing an iPhone over that piece-of-shit Torch. But shit, if I were a celebrity getting paid to use certain products, I’d just live two lives with two different sets of products! It’s not rocket science, even for a commoner.

    stupid the commercial relationship managers that hire “stars” to use their device. That is a waste of money. Anyway I think BBZ10 has nice features, and they have put a real effort in re think some part of the interactions with the device. well done BB!

    BB have alway been for business use to begin with for the security and robustness of the system/hardware. The iPhone is more like a toy compared to it, but a toy that’s good for general usage. Meaning use your iphone for personal use and use your BB when you’re working. Rarely will your employer let you use your personal phone for business related stuff and if they do, they aren’t smart at all and don’t get about if you end up leaking any important work info.
