Futuremark’s latest benchmarking suite, 3DMark 11 was set to debut tomorrow, November 30th, but it now looks like the benchmarking suite will be delayed.
Reporting that they had found a last minute bug in the software, the company has decided to hold off on the launch and delivering pre-orders, until it can be fixed. Not citing any particular new date instead, simply saying that it may “take a day, it might be a week, but either way we’ll confirm the new launch date as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
Obviously a delay is never ideal, but hopefully customers can appreciate having a fully working product right off the bat and not dealing with a patch just a few weeks after the release.
For those who pre-ordered the game, Futuremark has taken the extra step of offering a free copy of Shattered Horizons via Steam.
