Moments ago Apple announced that Steve Jobs, founder and visionary, has passed away.

According to a statement released by his family, Jobs died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.

“Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives,” Apple said in a statement. “The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.”

In August, when Jobs announced he was stepping down from Apple, Hardware Canucks published a living eulogy for the great technology industrialist. It can be read here.

    the only Apple product I like is the I pod touch. The rest of the Apple products are kind of laim and expensive. But I did like Steve jobs he was a cool person. He will be missed,

    Somehow i think the world is better off now that this evil genius is gone forever. i dont mean to say bad things about the passed away but he was the mind behind the world enslaving force of apple.

    And whats Apple know for now, a Cell phone..ha,ha too bad he did not take his company with him.
    I’m a 43 year old IT director for an Alberta Oil company, nothing, I mean nothing brings out a Rage of hatred in my being like Apple.
    Nowhere on paper or in real world cost performance can anything about Any Apple product be justified.
