Comments, questions, and critiques welcome. This board/cpu/mem combo will be up and running under WC for a week. I'm more than willing to check out some different settings for the curious. The review can be found here...... http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/hardw...rd-review.html Last edited by sswilson; July 14, 2007 at 02:29 PM. |

Sorry, I guess I've got my terminology wrong..... I suppose I should have said ratio rather than divider. The 5:6 figure I was using is what CPU-Z reports the memory as running at. The memory is running at the selection shown in the picture which is 2.40.

It is pricey, but the price is in line with other new chipsets when they were first released.... I remember seeing the 680i chipset boards being offered for +$300 when they first came out.

I bought mine from Canada Computers back in the beginning of May for $166 :) A P5K-Deluxe is only $260. If I had to pay $300+ for my board I would of definitely went with a P5K-D for $50+ less. |

So, aside from price, how's your experience with the board been? I mentioned it in the review, but I'm still amazed at how easy it is to OC on this board.

It is a pretty good board, but I get really annoyed with it on occasion. I run 3.6GHz, 400MHz FSB with a 4:5 divider, is well over 24H prime stable, yet often I'll change from a different OC to this one and i will get continuous restarts. And the only way to get it to boot is remove 3 of the 4 sticks of ram. But besides that the board is great, i am almost dissapointed it is so easy to overclock |

I really don't think you are in the wrong. I have never heard of anyone calling it a DRAM multiplier among overclockers. |

Weird one on the "stable" OC which won't originally boot.... It almost sounds like a setting which isn't available to tweak being reset when you drop down to one stick and then bumping up as you put them back in.
