yes i am a mechanic by trade so the mechanical end dosn't bother me lol It's the software end (settings) on the mb and how to oc i don't get lol .
And well to be honest i am very busy guy usually and i didn't have the time to build me a good well rounded gaming rig:)

As per fixing the fan speed, you might want to look into BIOS flashing unless WolfBane wants to keep modifying that file whenever he updates drivers and what not.

Could look into aftermarket cooling solutions too I suppose.

Wouldn't ati come out with new cat drivers that will let you adjust the speed of the fan on the fly?

Also this system is going to be cf in about 3 months with ek water blocks on them as well :)
Yupp i know i need a second wc pump rad and all for just the vid cards , That is already on my mind lol :)

All you guys have created a monster i think !!!

No, I've never seen drivers / CCC giving access to fan speed. Once Rivatuner can recongnize the low-level changes of the 4870, it will be a whole lot easier to set and save a fan speed setup.

Also RivaTuner , i can assume its a tuning software program of some kind?
Also what will i have to do each time i reset my sytem to make sure the fan will run fast enuff to keep the vid card cool ? Till i at least wc it in a cpl months?
