Got great news and BAD news.

First the great. I currently own and have installed my crossfire 3870's (This could change to the 4870 if it peaks it's head out) and Phenom 9850.
Also, I have my new reservoir hooked up and leak proof.

Now the BAD news.
During the leak test last night, my pump COOKED itself.

IF YOU ARE IN THE COURTICE, ONTARIO REGION PLEASE DONATE YOUR PUMP TO ME!!!

Ah I'm just a fellow modder.I like your project and it would be a real shame to have it die because of a part I got for free and is just collecting dust.

You'll want to cut off the reducer bushing that it has off when you get it.You want the full 1/2 inch lines.

Also , a piece of advice.

You'll notice it has a factory installed double-sided-sticky-foam thing on it's base.I'd remove this , and bolt it onto a piece of metal (Think heatsink.).Also , provide a fan for the pump. You are asking it to do a lot , and it gets hot too .

Well my friends, the pump is due to arrive Monday.

BIG THANKS to BrainEater!

I'm Officially going to name this project "Brain Eater"
Not only does he deserve something in return, I think the name works for this project. Everyone that looks at it can't seem to help scratching there heads in confusion. Thus the "Brain Eater"

BTW

In the mean time I was hoping to get some out side help on OverClocking this beast.
I'm just looking for previous results and specs on similar setups. My goal is to clock the processor to
match the current record that I know of at 3.8Ghz, and then HOPEFULLY shatter it. Crossing fingers for 4.0Ghz.

Theres a few specs I have seen and hope to try. If anyone has seen the specs on current Crossfire 3870's being overclocked I would love to see them.
Oh and also something on my mushkin memory (XP2-8500 2x2GB). I just want to figure out what a good bar is for me to break.

SORRY I'M LATE.

Package arrived safe and sound, already hooked up and purring like a kitten, ish.

System is running beautifully, in fact I'm posting now using the new machine. I have been spending a bunch of time learning about the newer features of the bios so it's taking me time to get this rig OC the way I want it. Put it simply, shes putting on a fight. I have a buddy of mine helping me with the good fight, If you want to jump aboard I invite you to help.

Right now I do have some Temperature benches that might interest some of you. I wish I could give you coolant temps but I can't at this time.
OK... Room temp has been 24 to 26 C
STOCK settings. system idles at a temp of 32C sometimes 31C if left for an hour. This is with fans.
without fans system idles around 37C.
I jacked up the processor voltage to 1.425V, and with fans the system idles at 32C.
Without the fans it idles at 35C, which is ODD because it was idling at 37C. Thus the room temp is having a good effect on the system.

I stressed the system and the hottest it got was 41C without fans. With fans it dropped to 38C.

I am really happy with how shes keeping cool.
