SWEET DEALS... 99% DONE

I have to wait for some flex coil to come in the mail, my tubing can't make the bends I want. Once it arrives I can hook the pump and tubing up.

then I only have to things to complete. One is the screw holes for the GPU's and two is a fan mount I have planned for the memory cooling.

So for your own enjoyment here yea go people.

The fan and reservoir light have been wired, just took and early picture.

Nice work Chibi. Your worklog here has inspired me to build my own tech station, modeled after yours, but not watercooled though. I procured a piece of 1/4" plexiglas from a reno we're doing at work for the trays. Picked up some aluminum angle and flat stock from "The Metal Supermarket" across the street for $18.89.

Pics will follow.

Thanks SugarJ.

Good luck with your tech station, I am looking forward to seeing your own design. If I may make a suggestion, while cutting, shaping, designing, etc, etc... Just go with the flow. The only thing planned in this project was making it all square and the paint job. After that I simply eyed everything up and said that looks sweet. Often ideas popped in my head during the middle of the night, so at 3am I was fiddling with it.

Wow.. That tech station looks truly.. AMAZING.. If only I had that much talent. I'm definitely looking forward to see it finished.

Tomorrow my coils arrive. So look forward to seeing the water loop up and running.

Looking great! Very clean and professional look to it, and definitely going to make swapping parts easier. The AC fan on the RAM detracts a little IMO, and is possibly overkill, but no harm there. Just take care when you're putting the tubing onto the piping - no barbs means you might want to consider double clamping or taking some other precaution.

Thanks MpG

I had many plans on the memory fan, I just wanted something on there for personal appeal.

I wrote earlier in this worklog about my leak test with the copper tubing. Longest test I ran was 6 days straight, NO LEAKS. Getting the tubing over the copper was simple. Add heat to the end of the tubing till it's spongy, carefully flex the tubing over the copper tube, and then use a simple zip tie over it. Worked like a charm.

The final design may have steel clamps, not sure yet. But hell, double ties would be just fine for me really. Saved a lot of money from buying the threaded ends with barbs, those things get pricey.

If you do use tye-wraps on tubes that have no boss, make sure that the securing ends of the tye-wraps are 180* opposite to each other.
