Well heres 2 pictures of one my my trials with the cooling loop.

The fitting I have on the top of the reservoir are no longer there, they developed a BAD case of rust...

Now theres PVC fitting on the reservoir and a make shift fitting assembly I've done for the 4 small hoses. I'll post those pictures when I'm done putting it together.





Oh and Side note... This version went 72hrs perfectly.

Ok, small update.

It's been a rough month with final exams and all but I'm back at the project and finally making some progress.

Ok, few things. My camera has gone MISSING, so until I find it I can't post any new pictures.
I rearranged the cooling section. The arrangement just didn't work for me. So to put it simply the radiators are now stacked with the fans in between them.
The Reservoir is now up high on the motherboard platform. There is also additional copper tubing.

The Fan controller know longer works due to freezing temperatures (ARGH). So I am having a special fan controller made up by a buddy of mine.

I have a new fancy SATA DVD writer which is yet to be installed.
My new power supply is a Corsair TX750W, and she is a beauty.

Right now I'm running another 24hr leak test with the new set up. So far things are solid.

Hopefully I find my camera and I can show everyone.

THE PROJECT IS STILL ALIVE.

MUCH MUCH change has happened and as soon as I can find batteries for my camera I will show off my work.

she is 95% COMPLETE... just finished the last bit of painting and most of the polishing. All that is left is a few minor details and the purchase of a processor and graphics.

I bought 2x2GB Mushkin XP2-8500 memory, and they look STYLISH on the board.

I'm pretty excited considering I am finally finishing things up, so I had to post something. Hope some of you are as excited as I am to see the end result.

Ok, I managed to take this with the last of my battery power.

I haven't managed to get everything installed yet. I'm busy moving my desk.

This is it without the copper pipes or all the vinyl tubing, pump, and res. oh and not to forget the feet.
So this just shows theres progress.

That looks like a nice slick paint job. Are you going to paint the copper or leave it?

What is up with those SATA cables? It looks like they have been chewed upon.

Thanks, the paint job took some time. Has a nice thick layer of primer/sealer then a fine sanding. Single coat of black gloss enamel then 4 coats every 5 minutes after that. The top motherboard plate has 5 coats and did not require wet sanding. Sadly the bottom plate did due to the larger surface area. It has nearly 7 coats till it came out the way I want.

I have polished the snot out of the copper tubing, at least as much as possible. Some of the tubing has tarnished to far so it would require more work and sanding to get shiny, I'm debating on going through the trouble. At the moment they have been sealed with a lacquer to prevent further tarnishing.

When I get batteries for my camera I will take a top view picture and you will see how my cables are being organized. There just holes that I drilled and then put a saw cut for the cables to slide into.

Oh, I see. The SATA cables are coming up through guide holes.

In retrospect it would have been very cool if you could have matched all the metals. I wish I had the resources to make a steam punk version in dark hardwood and brass.
