I'm glad doc mentioned the fiber washers before I installed the block. It wouldn't surprise me if there's an issue with most GPUs and the blocks.

For such well made and expensive blocks an oversight like this by EK is pretty incompetent.

I've searched and found cases of dead 4870's after EK installation. Not sure what to do about installation now

Yea you made me nervous too ^^.. Especially my card is still under warranty, which already voided by removing the stock cooler out..

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I've got tons of fiber, plastic and paper washers hanging around from old cases and builds. I'm gonna make damn sure that no metal is contacting the PCB when I WC my 4870. Thanks for the heads up.

Mind you, I'm just putting on a Maze 4, so I don't expect any issues, but better safe than sorry, right?
