Even though you lapped the heatsink quite well.. I still won't suggest you to do it, we hardly use warranty on cpu cooler, but it voids cpu cooler, and can also damage that heatpipe really..

Yeah I took a leap of faith in myself there miggs. I only paid $30 so I figured what the heck and it turned out really well. I'm suprised that OCZ's quality control let that one out the door. I mean really the aluminum base bridged across the copper heatpipes so they weren't even touching the CPU. But your right it was a sketchy thing to do.

My next Project is to see if I can get Intel to warranty this crappy chip haha. I can't bump the vcore past 1.3000 without going past their thermal limit, and the CPU voltage limit is rated at a max of 1.36. What do you think of my chances on sending this puppy back? NCIX dosn't want it back cuz they say it works even though it came to me in a crunched box
