Any reason that you want this block instead of the replacement from D-TEK, the FuZion? Not sure if you know the history behind it, but the MP-05 was actually jointly designed by D-TEK and Cooltechnica. D-TEK gave Cooltechnica money to manufacture it, and they were supposed to label them "D-TEK MP-05", but what they did instead was keep the money, keep the blocks and resell them on their own, so that's why D-TEK produced the FuZion. It's a better, newer block.

I read something like that on XS about a week ago. Some guy from Cooltechnica and another one from D-TEK were doing war in a thread. Mods warned them if i remember right

Yeah. My position besides being a moderator on this forum gives me the inside scoop on what actually happened. The FuZion is the successor to the MP-05. It's a better block now, and the performance lead it already has over the MP-05 will only increase once the new nozzles show up.

Didnt know much about the dtek story. I was thinking this one because of shamino's water block review @ vr-zone. Its cheaper than apogee and similar blocks.

Those numbers are kinda weird.... The APOGEE GT doesn't outperform the STORM by THAT much.... I have both of those blocks, as well as a fuZion that I've done testing on. Unfortunately I don't have an MP-05, although I'd love to obtain one in order to see them head to head myself.

All of that said, the FuZion outperforms the APOGEE GT by a greater margin than that, unless Shamino mounted the APOGEE GT a certain way, applied greater that stock pressure, and put in the thick O-ring, then it's very competitive with the FuZion and beats the MP-05 hands down.

You'll be happier with a FuZion or an APOGEE GT IMHO.
