Default Question on res size...

Hey I am doing a mITX build in the next month or so... just trying to source all the final parts...
Just have a question on res size.... I am eyeing the EK 110mm tube res for my build and am using a single 240mm radiator with a 30fpi and using an EK supremacy block and a EK titan/780 block....
Will having a larger or smaller res effect my temps? yes I do know some of you will say I don't have enough radiators etc.. I have seen this build done and it works highest temp the guy sees is 75ish... and that's in south Floridia on a hot day.....

thanks....

resi size makes very little difference man... if its smaller it needs a little more attention during the filling process. Bigger resi's need less attention. Considering the size of rad/resi and heat you are pulling I would definitely consider installing a thermal expansion fitting.

It needs an air gap to work right though... generally the highest part of the loop or a low pressure area like a resi.

Bigger reservoirs are easier and quicker to bleed but that is about the only benefit.

May I add 30 FPI radiators are generally a bad idea. They tend to require fans north of 2000 rpm to perform decent. If you are trying to save space go w/ an XSPC AX or Swiftech MCR series rad instead of the Black Ice Stealth or Koolance rads.

Liquid Coolants
Koolance's product warranty does not cover the use of 3rd-party coolants, coolant additives, or corrosion. Koolance LIQ-702 or LIQ-705 coolants are strongly recommended to help avoid issues with mixed metals or biological growth. Additionally, do not use aluminum with bare (unplated) copper or bare (unplated) brass in the same system. Do not use silver with nickel in the same system.
no check valve here its just a breather with felt

Materials of VLV-VL002K Wetted Materials Nickel-Plated Brass, EPDM

use their coolant or growth

now if installed on bottom of rez , would have yourself a puddle

best have rad outside the case so not to recycle heat for best cooling an still use case fans for inside

only rez size matter if using a RD-30 pump

Not pretty, but certainly functional.
