Default Gentle Typhoons no longer being manufactured

Quote:
FrozenCPU,
Regretfully, both Nidec and Scythe have decided not to continue their business relationship.

We will not be able to fulfill your Gentle Typhoon order.
We will be promoting the new Grand Flex fans. These are supposedly better than the Gentle Typhoons.
We need to get the message out to the public. I should have some samples by early next month.
By the way, Scythe reserves the right to the name Gentle Typhoon.
That means Nidec canít sell the product to anybody with our label, our package, our brand and etc. attached to it.

Thank you.

Best Regards,
Hank Peng
SCYTHE, Inc.
So stock up if you were looking to buy GT's anytime soon.

Was about to pick up 4 ap-15s when I heard the news. Are there any other comparable fans out there with the same or better performance?

I have 2 ap14 and 2 ap15s right now that seem to hate my fan controller and have an odd whining noise at lower speeds but the noise/perf. seem to be the best I've tried so far

eLoops have similar performance to noise ratio. But I do believe that GT's are built to a much higher quality.

Where do the once popular SanAce fans fit in the picture?
I never liked the GT motor growl. :|

Denkis have ridiculously loud compared to GTs. I run my SanAce's under 5V and they are still loud.

Has anyone tried the "Grand Flex" fans that are listed in that PR?

According to an SPCR they are pretty much junk.

We still have 400 fans in stock, so it is not the end as yet!
