Question Water cooling for a noob

Okay i admit i am a newbie when it comes to watercooling ... but i'm wondering what's a "silver coil".People tell me to use distilled water and silver coil for my system but what is that and how do i get it?

It's literally just a strip of silver wound into a coil. Silver is a antimicrobial and keeps little creatures from growing inside your loop.
Any major online water-cooling retailer sells them. Or try your luck at a local jewelry store and ask for a strip of .999 silver.

distilled water works fine for cooling yup. Cheap too.

cheaper at Canadian Tire aka vehicle parts store.... like a wall of 2 and 4 liter jugs which will last you forever and ever amen.

'Says you. It's not even two weeks into my first fill and I'm already on my second 4L bottle.

Then again I've also swapped out parts and re-built the loop several times. Will probably do it a couple more times in the next week or so too.

hilarious... i'm on the same jug for almost 2 years now haha. 2 jugs later you probably haven't spent more than 15 bux though :P

its usually best to stay away from kill coils, some companies wont warrent there product if you use a kill coil, i think its blocks with nickel plating that usualy dont i think.

best to use something like Dazmode Protector
thats what i and most people use.
