Best fans to use in a watercooling system?

I am currently thinking of building one and i am not sure which fans i should chose for my rads.... can anyone help me out?
Oh and another thing... what sort of coolant should i use?

What spacing 120 mm Gentle Typhoon or other quiet high pressure fan.

Coolant Distilled water and silver kill coil is what I have.

Corsair SP120 , Scythe GT120 , Cougar seem to be the go to rad fans for high pressure low noise.. You can read up on fans at Matrins labs ..

I can tell you from experience that the GT120's do a very good job and are quite, I tried some LED fans just for some esthetics and they worked ok but when it started to heat up they really got load and didn't cool as good as the GT's at any range..

Do you know what kind of rad you will be using ? High FPI or low ? you need to know this for your fan selection.

Distilled water and kill coil is the best way to go IMO

i'll be using swiftech's extreme performance rads.. 360+240

yea you are going to need higher speed fans swiftech's extreme performance rad

Scythe GT120 this is the 1850 you may have to go higher RPM but those should work with those rads and the Corsair SP120 which spin @ 2350RPM both really good fans .

Gentle Typhoons are unbeatable! Great static pressure, and are quiet as hell.

Will you be wanting a lot of fan control (PWM) or just standard 3 pin fans ?
If you just wanted standard 3 Pin fans there are a few good ones including Gentle Typhoons, But if you go for PWM fans there are quite a few options, all depends on your needs though where it will come down to silence vs performance vs price.

i wont be needing any fan controllers but at the same time i am looking for high pressure fans which are as quiet as possible! i hear the noctua ones are great Noctua.at - sound-optimised premium components "Designed in Austria"! these ones....

Unless you know what type of radiators your plannig to use the fan choice is nothing more than guess work. Fan must be matched with the choosen rads. Low density rads will only need fans that run between 800 -1200 rpm, High density rads will require higher rpms with more noise. Gentle typhoons you can't go wrong just need the version your rads will preform the Best with.
