I have both the Corsair SP120's and the Gentle Typhoons. I used the typhoons when I was just using 2 fans and now I'm using 4 SP120's. I would say they are both great fans. You can't go wrong with either option.

I would go with the GT 1850's (AP-15's) for the H100. The H100 fin density isn't particularly low @ 11-12 FPI so your better off with a higher RPM fan and the GT 1850 is amazingly quiet for a fan that spins at nearly 2000 rpm. I've never tried the "Quiet" SP-120's but the "High Performance" ones were much too loud for me. Also I'm not a fan of Push-Pull configs on fans, unless your going for the best overclocks, I don't feel its worth the extra bulk and the extra hassle when it comes time to clean the dust out of the rad. But for 79 dollars that's a steal of deal for the H100.

Guys..

Just curious but CanadaComputers really ticks me off as does Tiger Direct on how they do their pricematch (where its local only).

I'm curious does bestbuy sell the fan? I saw they have the same name but not quite the same model is their a huge difference because its free shipping over $20 and I need 4 fans.

Futureshop/bestbuy may have some decent computer items available, but it's usually online sales only. The items page tells you availability, and those fans are online only.

Ive got an h100 myself and I've noticed a pulsating hum that goes away when I disconnect the fans. WTFFFF?! I want to replace them but I've read I'll need to control them separately as the pump unit will only control the oem ones. Fact/fiction?

The AF series from Corsair are more so for intake/exhaust case fans, they're designed to have lots of clearance all around. The SP series is designed exactly for your application, pushing/pulling air through obstacles.

NCIX has the fans quite a bit cheaper too.

Go for it then and grab the SP's. Here's a comparison between the quiet edition and high performance, to me it's a no brainer to put up the extra noise but that's your call.

Agree with others in thread. I really like the Gentle typhoons. Very quiet and push a lot of air when you need them to.
