Antec Kuhler 620 Backplate
So I just popped this Antec 620 onto my new 3770k and at 4.6ghz @ 1.25v, it's topping out at 95C using a single Gentle Typhoon 1850rpm. Turns out I stripped out the plastic backplate that holds the metal inserts in place and stops me from screwing in the cooler securely. I'm not sure why it was so easy to strip the plastic in the first place or why Antec decided to use a chunk of plastic in such an important part.

Does anybody have any ideas as to what kind of backplate I could replace this with? I've seen references to using 6/32 1.5in screws to bolt it in place but I'm not sure of the details as to how this would work?

Having the same problem as you are with the 920, seems the plastic is very cheap and soft. All four of my pins just spin in their place. Found one person recommended using this plate from frozen cpu, apparently it works with the Kuhler Prolimatech LGA 1156 Megahalem Retention Mount Adapter Kit (IAK-01) - FrozenCPU.com . One thing i'm going to try tonight is you can put a screw in the back side of the pin, hold that with a screw driver while tightening the one on the CPU. Then remove the back screw. Real pain in the ass as I have to take the board out completely as i don't have rear access to two of the lower screws.

Going to send an email to antec and see what they say, they'll probably send me a new plastic plate which will have the same problem.
