I'm open to just about any change in the list. My objective with this loop is to silence my system as much as possible without any compromise to my current CPU overclock. The case and everything else I already own so don't worry about that not being listed. Oh and my question is what is a so called pump top and is that something I should consider for the pump I listed?. |
This radiator will never provide cooling for a CPU + 2 x 680 , you can also have a koolance 380 or a EK Supremacy for about the same price as this swiftech. But before going more far, What is your case ? |

That radiator will cool your system but I wouldn't expect amazing temperatures or extreme clocks or anything. Also if you are aiming to silence your system you will want to go with a low fpi radiator optimized for low speed fans and silence. Maybe AP14's or 13's. Something like Alphacool NexXxos UT60, XSPC RX 360 or another fatty low fpi rad. Also like stated above it is recommended to have 120mm of rad per block + 120mm extra radiator. The pump top is mainly just for looks and sometimes to attach to a reservoir. |
The radiator should be able to cool three high heat components. However, you will probably have to run your fans and pump at full speed, and fans at full speed, and you won't get extreme temps. |
Thanks for all the responses. Got another question, I'm currently considering 3/8"ID x 5/8"OD tubing & fittings. Should I go to 3/8"ID x 1/2"OD tubing & fittings so I increase the flow rate or should I just upgrade to 1/2 inch tubing? |
The tubing size is mostly aesthetic. Personally I go with 3/8-5/8. I feel like 1/2 - 3/4 would pose some clearance issues on certain blocks where the inlets are spaced closer. |

As has been suggested above, going to 1/2" vrs 3/8" ID is more for asthetics than anything else, however if you plan a complicated loop, 3/8" is a hell of a lot easier to work with once space becomes an issue. |
Sounds good I'll stick with my current size of tubing then. |
