is that some kind of chemical reaction, its difficult to melt copper?

Did you try to cool a TEC, or did your pump fail while your PC was on?

That was on an 8800GT :) I think a leak sprung elsewhere in the loop. I don't know how long the waterblock was without water since when I awoke the computer was off and the motherboard dead. It is hard to believe but the videocard survived this :) And so did the pump which is odd as it was running dry as long as the computer was still on.
