Default Do new rads still need to be flushed?

i remember that rads need to be flush heavily before it can be used (XSPC being the worse offender). Is this still the case? Do i need to do the isopropyl alcohol or vinegar flush in modern rads?

You bet they do! Even if they say they have been, you still will want to.

What I like to do is fill them almost full with hot tap water, plug both ports and shake em around to loosen any debris, then give them a rinse with distilled.

I bought a brand new ek 420 rad last summer so thought I would do a flush just in case, it actually had a fair amount of crap in it, despite the ends being plugged.

I just boiled distilled water, then used a sterile funnel, and poured it in. capped all ports, shook like mad with over gloves on, and poured into a glass bowl.

repeat until crap stops appearing bottom of glass bowl, this rad took 4 flushes before I was pleased. Then rinsed, again with distilled water, and shook all excess water out, and put in loop.
