I agree. Especially if you have tight bends to do, you'll be glad you have a thicker wall.

My System Specs


If you google it you'll find that tube diameter makes a pretty negligible difference in cooling performance, so I'd go with whatever you find the most aesthetically pleasing / available. I personally like 7/16ID tubing over 1/2 barbs (and zip ties to secure) as I think it's the most cost-effective solution.
