which fans are best I'm thinking of upgrading my fans for my h100 but I am not too sure what to buy. There are so many fans. I know noctua's are favored by many but quite pricey. I'd like something that has lots of cooling power but is still fairly quiet. Doesn't have to be completely silent but I do like quiet. And a fair price as well. What do you all recommend? |
And where can I find a 240mm shroud? |
Coolermaster R4-L2R-20AC 120MM Blue LED Case Fan 2000RPM 69CFM 19DBA 3/4 Pin - COOLERMASTER - R4-L2R-20AC-GP these have quite a bit of static pressure and flow for little noise, and they come in a few colours |
As Babr's already stated the Coolermaster R4's are really the best budget fan for use on a Rad or HS. If you want to spend a little more, the Coolermaster Blade Masters go up to 3.90mmH20 which will net you a bit better peformance (though I don't know how loud they get at 2000rpm). -ST |
The blade masters get up to about 32dBA which on my 212 Evo isn't that loud at all with it in push pull with a turbine master. But if you get 4 together in push pull I would say it can get pretty loud at 100% since my excaliburs and turbine masters on my H100 on my main pc is pretty loud and the fans are only rated for approx 30dBA. |
Nothing tops Scythe gentle typhoon AP-15's, 1850 RPM and no need at all to slow them down, I run 10 AP-15's in my open case, loudest thing is my graphics card fan @ 30% fan speed. They do cost more then your average fan, but I bet you money they will last longer then any other part in your PC. For a cheaper option yate loons are OK, but only last about 1-1 1/2 years, and are way louder then GT's. |

Like the GT's as well, they seem to be difficult to obtain. |
