FrozenQ res leak 1 Attachment(s) I'm working on leak testing my parts and I got a frozenQ bay res because it looks sweet but this thing has giving me nothing but trouble. When I tried installing the DDC pump top the female end to the screw which is a glued in hex came loose and started spinning making the pump top useless... Whatever I poped on my EK top and linked it with a male-male connector. So move on to leak test, I fill it up and the screw hole for mounting in a 5.25'' bay was drilled too deep and there is a hole into the res. Now I'll take the hit on the pump top and say I could have tightened too much and stripped it. But leaking from the mounting hole? That's a plain defective product. So what should I do? Can I fill the hole with hot glue and be happy or will that leech into my loop? Should I RMA? |
Ive seen quite a few frozen q's had the leaking issue from the mounting hole. Seems like a manufacturing defect. |
Probably gonna RMA it, which will delay my build till next week. Which I'm scheduled for surgery so I'll be out for a week... Which delays my build 2 weeks. :( |
This is first one that come trough my hands, but still disappointing. |
