Default Watercooling rad question

Hi, I recently set up a new water cooling system. Currently it only consist of one Black Ice Rad from DangerDen, and I want to set up another rad.

I was wondering if I setup 2 independent 120mm rad in one loop, would it restrict or slow down the flow or pressure too much? Should I just jump to a dual 120mm rad instead?

You should be fine adding in another120.1 rad, that said what pump, blocks?
IMO if you want more cooling just move up to a 120.2 rad but depending on your build might not be what you want fit wise.

I am using a D5 Vario for the pump right now, and cpu block is DD-TDX (old I know, but it was cheap) and it seems to be doing fine. For my setup, I'm trying to keep it as clean as possible, so I prefer not to have any external rads. My case is Fractal R2, and to say the least, is a bit cramped for watercooling.

There are two 120mm fan ports on the top of the case I would like to tack a 240mm rad to, but my current rad that is connected to the exhaust is so bulky that I only have approx 30mm of clearance for the 240mm rads

D5 has plenty of power IMO, what I always do when building in my head is do a cardboard mock, so find the specs of what your looking for and do a mock. that way you KNOW what fits and how it fits before hand.

thanks for the tip, by the way you know where I can get dual 120mm slim rads for a decent price in Canada? NCIX has such limited variety on rads.

Radiators don't add much restriction unless you're talking about the ones with double pass. Two 120mm radiators would equal to a 240mm rad so you're fine with either.

As for where to get them, there's plenty of rads for you to choose from at DazMode, The Best Canadian PC Watercooling and Modding Store! if you're looking to buy locally in Canada. They ship pretty quick

Better off with a 240mm rad imo. Less plumbing. Cleaner build.

I'm still measuring the top of my R2, if I can find a way to squeeze the rad into the 30mm clearance, I'm going 240mm for the top while keeping my current 120mm :)
