Help with Water Cooling Asus Rampage II
Hi Linus,
I have been watching your channel for a while checking out the new products you review, however the video of your ‘personal rig’ got me thinking into water-cooling mine.
The main issue that I am having currently is the extreme noise and heat caused by my setup of tri GTX480’s even in a Cooler Master Haf X.
Currently my setup is:
Asus rampage II Extreme
Tri Sli Asus Gtx 480
I7-930 @ 4.0 with a v6 Cooler
6gb Corsair Dominator GT 2000mhz
1200w Silent Pro Gold
120gig OCZ vertex 2
1TB WD Caviar Black
After watching a bunch of your video's are reading a huge number of forums I have come up with the below single loop water-cooling setup:
Flurescent Red - Liquid Fusion V series x1
XSPC RX480 Radiator x1
XSPC RX280 Radiator x1
Koolance PMP-450 12V Variable Speed Pump x1
Bitspower D5 Mod Top V2 Acetal x1
Koolance QDC Extreme Flow No-Spill Male VL4N-M13-19S x5
Koolance QDC Extreme Flow No-Spill Female VL4N-F13-19S x5
EK-Supreme HF Acetal+EN Nickel x1
EK-FC480 GTX - Acetal+EN (Nickel)x 3
EK-FC Bridge TRIPLE Serial x1
Bitspower Dual Rotory x4
Bitspower Triple Rotory x8
Scythe Gentle Typhoon x8
Coolant x2
Tubing x5m
The few questions I have are:
1) Is there anything I am missing from this setup (component wise) or is there anything I could remove?
2) From your experience with water cooling should this setup be adequate for the heat that will be generated as I intend to overclock each 480 to around the specs of a 580?
Many thanks in advance
Makwak.
