Gentle Typhoon AP-15 or AP-29 or other for H100

So I want to get some new fans for new H100 and I am trying to decide between the gentle typhoon AP-15 or AP-29.

I know what the 15 sounds like as I have one and they are quiet so they have that going for them but they are also extremely difficult to find in stock anywhere. Now the AP-29 is a 3000 rpm model and is most definitely louder but according to specs it is only about 6db louder yet it can push quite a bit more air. And they supposedly have very good static pressure.

Anyone have any thoughts or even suggestions of other fans?

Just an FYI, a 3db increase in noise is basically double the loudness, 6db is a lot more than you may realize.

Scythe S-Flex's. Good static pressure, and unlike the GT's, you can ACTUALLY find them...

I've got two GT AP-15's on my H100 on low and they keep my system really cool, I think getting the AP-29's would be overkill, plus they would be loud as heck probably.

+1 for the S-flex's, its almost impossible to find GT's unless you order them just as the retailer is getting a shipment, which is 2 times a year.

Ok, so I guess the AP-29's are out. It seems like they come with molex and not a 3 pin connector so I will not be using them.

That said I am still looking for the AP-15's and also have been looking towards maybe something like Noiseblockers. As for the S-flex, I do have one in my server case and while it is quiet I didn't think it really compared that well to the AP-15. But maybe I will revisit it.

It isn't hard to crimp on fan connectors but there still is no reason to go w/ the 3000 RPM ones unless you plan on running them at a higher speed than the 1850's.

If you want overkill that does not make your ears bleed then try a San Ace H1011. They are not much louder than a GPU fan, but push massive air. At full 12v they push air through a 10 FPI radiator like it's not even there.

Go for NoiseBlockers ;) Available and excellent fans in regards to performance and especially noise. The most quiet motors I've found yet. Beats out the GT's handily in that respect.
