H50 Mod Help

Hey guys so im looking to perform this mod on my H50 .....its summer time im kinda bored and prone to tinkering.

Anyways i wish the author was a bit more specific on the things he used. im gonna get the micro res off a forum member on this forum Watercooling setup (775, EK FC GT200-B)

but i wanna use compression fittings as they look much cleaner. My question is he uses 8mm ID 10MM OD tubing, the thing that is messing me up is the difference in imperial / metric measurement. compression fittings come in
1/4" = 6.35mm
3/8" = 9.525 mm
7/16 and 1/2 are both obviously too big.....

What kind of compression fitting did he use>? i cant find any in metric

and can i just buy this tubing at home depot?

Dont really understand the problem. from what i just read on the net the barbs on the h50 are 1/4id
so just buy 1/4id 3/8od Compressions and tubing.

if he used some weird larger id tubing it would be more prone to leaking and would need more clamps and since its thinner walled higher chance for kinking.
