From stock Intel cooler to Corsair H70 on p8p67pro with Intel 2500K

15'C cooler
OC'd to 4.6 GHz stable.

That's a win!

What are the temps under full load?

Arinoth July 3, 2011 12:53 PM

Good to hear, though that should be expected to when switching from Intel's crappy stock to some real after market heat sinks. Kipper is correct, temperatures under load is what you really want to see the difference then idle.

xbasiickz July 3, 2011 02:16 PM

Wow, it looks I really have to replace my Intel's stock cooler to the corsair H70. Btw, I don't know if I should buy the H70 or the expensive one, the H100.

lowfat July 3, 2011 02:22 PM

If you have room for the H100's radiator then it would definitely be the best choice.

xbasiickz July 3, 2011 02:26 PM

Oh forgot that it has that "XL radiator" :/
But I can mount it out of the case, right?
My case has that rubber holes in the back, besides the case is small :P

attonbitusira July 3, 2011 02:51 PM

Thats 15'C cool idle (60C -> 45C)

Under heavy load (Handbrake) I haven't seen it go above 61 yet.

enaberif July 3, 2011 07:13 PM

I'd take the H60 over the H70 as it works just as well and doesn't take up near as much room and uses corsairs new pump

supaflyx3 July 3, 2011 10:53 PM

15 degrees cooler on a 4.6GHZ OC... that doesn't seem right.. should be alot less.

Arinoth July 4, 2011 05:03 AM

Something does sound off, shouldn't be idling at 60C with the stock cooler, or around 40C with his after market. When i had a CM 212+ installed i'd idle in the 30s and that has less coolant power then his LQ.
