Default Fans for Corsair H50

Ok, so I have had the Corsair H50 for awhile. Considering I am redoing my build I am also wondering if I should redo my fans.

What I am wondering is if I should stick with the Scythe Gentle Typhoon, which are not PWM fans, or should I go with two of the Scythe Slip Stream Kaze-Jyuni PWM Fans? I should mention that I will have this in a push-pull setup. If I go with the PWM ones I will use a Gelid PWM Y cable adapter. Is it worth it to have PWM fans with the H50 and be able to control it using something like Fan Xpert that comes with my new Asus board. Or just is something like the Typhoon better even though it is at full speed and not controlled?

Peoples thoughts?

Oh as it is right now I get about 30-33 for idle temps with the Gentle Typhoons. As for load, I just did a quick test and having all 4 cores at 100% the temps hung right around 45. This is with my Q6600 oc'ed to 3.2GHz.

You'll want high static pressure fans for optimal performance. The Slip Stream fans are perfect for exhaust fans and intake fans where there is no resistance; however, they're poor for situations where there is resistance directly in front or behind the fan, such as an intake with filter or in this case a radiator.

In other words, the Gentle Typhoons are a good choice.

Stick with that you have. No point changing the Gentle Typhoons, since the Kaze Jyuni is just a poor fan in general.

Sleep on it, you'll realize you have no reason to change

The GTs you have are pretty nice fans and therefore leaves you with less room to improve on. On another note, if you want some leds on your fans for some cool lighting effects, have a look at Gelid wing 12s. These are pretty nice fans that also have PWM connection. I have them on my radiator.
