My System Specs

Default Bay Res. Vs. Tube Res. for dual loop

well, right now I'm starting to design a new dual loop. Since I'm also building the case I would like to hear some opinions on reservoirs.

I want two parallel loops, 1 loop for two 4870x2's (likely 5970's in the next few years) and a physx card. The other loop cpu, mobo, ram. With the large space I have, mounting 2 480 rads at the top isn't a problem.

So I can design the case to have 2 extra 5.25 slots for a 2x 5.25 reservoir, but I also have enough room to mount 2 individual tube reservoirs.

Some of the 2x5.25" I've been looking at are;
XSPC Dual 5.25" Bay - DDC Dual Pump / Dual Split Reservoirs
Koolance RP-452X2 Dual 5.25" Reservoir

I'm leaning towards the 2x5.25" bay reservoirs that include pump mounts since I like keeping things neat and symmetrical, with the two tube reservoirs they would be tucked into corners and not seen well anyways and still have to run tubing to the pumps.

if you got this far, thanks for reading and let me know what you think.

My vote would be for the RP-452X2 just because of its uber sexiness.

I'm always use tube myself, but my vote is for dual RP-452X2 over XSPC any day.

Until you actually hold the 452x2 (I got mine last week), you have no idea just how beefy the thing is.

XSPC bay reservoir can be hard to bleed. The bubles get trapped in out port. Also, they seem to an algae farm. I had algae with feser one and thermochill ec 6 in the exact same place. I used new tubing and a new reservoir the second time around. My radiator was flushed out with my sink tap water, then a mixture of bleech and water. I boiled distilled and poured it in my radiator for 10 minutes and repeated a couple times before rinsing with distilled. When I changed to my EK multioption, I had no algae issues. But that thing leaked on me :p Long story, but go with the koolance reservoir.

thanks for the input, I was strongly leaning towards the RP-452X2 for 3 reasons.
1. symmetrical
2. dual d5 so i can get adjustable speed
3. front fill ports

Both will provide similar performance, the question is whether you want to spend the extra $100 on looks or not.

It's not just looks, there's also no aftermarket tops to have to buy, which aren't exactly free.
