Gabe from Swiftech already did research on this topic. From a performance point fo view, there is really no difference in performance in adding a second loop, unless you have extreme circumstances. Adding second pump (both have to be the same pump) did increase percormance. That being said, there are som advantages to having a second loop:

1) who cares if you have a delta 10 (air/water) on your gpu loop. That means you can choose a smaller radiator.

2) You can design your loops to have injecter base blocks (have take apart) in one loop, and the rest in anther. Mobo and gpu blocks are hard to take apart and you can clean most of them without taking them out of your loop.
