I bought some on the boxing day sale at NCIX, before this review obviously, and it worked great!

I have the ocz 5+ as well, and I find it very annoying to apply as it tends to stick better to the tube than the CPU, and is very stringy (read: messy), the mx-2 is more like icing (but tastes worse).

On my e2180 o/c's to 2.8ghz I got idle temps of 24 and loads of 43 with TAT and an a/c freezer 7 pro, not bad for a total investment of 25 bucks ($4 TIM, $21 cooler)!

Great review Prof!

According to the stock checker the Langley store has six tubes left. But I think I'll wait till they come in stock and just order some with another purchase to be shipped.

I've got to say, this is one of the nicest review I've seen of late. All the pictures had stellar lighting and were very clear. Superb, professional review!

I wish I knew where the Shin-Etsu X-23 goop stood among those other pastes, this is the one I've used for my cpu after reading some online review. If I had known you were going to review goop, I'd have mailed you a tube.

Guys....thx for all the responses here. It was a blast...except while waiting for the curing times of the contenders....

Spblue..feel free to mail me anything....lol...I accept anything from 'goop' to the new QX9770. For that I'll actually drive there and pick it up in person!

Great review, thanks! Out of curiosity though...were those intels M0 steppings? If they were, coretemp reports the temps wrong. Was this considered? I didn't see it in the review itself.
