Default gpu water block

i am new to fulll water block... so i need to know which water block should i use?

today, i order two msi gtx570 (i know about suck msi watercool warranty)... i read somewhere that i can use gtx 580 on gtx 570 reference card... is it true?

if so then what kind of company that should i use?

i only found two models in canada
http://ncix.com/products/index.php?s...Co%2E%20Ltd%2E for 100

EK-FC580 GTX Ref Design- Acetal+Nickel EK-FC480 GTX Ref Design- Acetal+Nickel [EK-FC580GTX A-N] - $117.99 : DazMode, Canadian PC Water Cooling and Modding Store for 118

which is better one? and i wonder should i use backplate? is it effecting on the performance?

thanks

ps. i am planning to overclock it to maximum...

XSPC is quite a bit uglier of that matter to you at all. But I have my doubts it will make all that much of a difference in the temperature department.

Backplates are for aethethics when it comes to the GTX570 since there is no memory on the back of the card.

And yes GTX580 blocks will fit.

Only a few companies with GTX 580 Waterblocks have backward compatibility with GTX 570 and EK would be one. I have heared that they are not going to manufacture any GTX 570 waterblocks as GTX 580 has the same reference pcb design.

All water blocks perform pretty much the same, just flow rates and maybe different VRM cooling... there arn't any roundups for GTX 580 blocks yet (since its very time consuming and damaging to the card)... but you can go to skineelabs and look at his GTX 480 waterblock round up... since there wasnt much change from GTX 480 to GTX 580 you can probably use the same charts to determine which waterblock you want.

I got the Koolance one :-).. I was going to with EK... but they took awhile to release a nickle/acetal waterblock.. but hey nothing wrong with Koolance.. plus I think they look a tad better.

Backplate will only improve aesthetics of the GPU.. no performance increase.

My GPU never reached over 56 degrees and it's overclocked to the max at the moment.. room ambients of 28-29 degrees.

i dont care about how it does look... then i dont need backplate...

if you said true then here is gtx 480 round up at Skinnee Labs | GTX480 Full Cover Block Roundup ... overall ek > koolance > xpsc but they are still almost same...

but i dont want to spend too much money on gpu... so i will grab one for 73cdn from Buy XSPC Asia Co. Ltd. [RZR580] XSPC Razor GeForce GTX 580 Full Cover COPPER/ACETAL GPU Water Block G1/4

If the GTX570 is reference than it will fit. And I do believe the MSI you are looking at is a reference PCB.

Yeah it's true what lowfat says. Just looked around other forums.. only minor things that are different from gtx 580 pcb vs gtx 570 pcb is less memory chips and some power circultry
