This is the balance between fans speed and radiator surface. Dual thick rad with 3k rpm screamers can do a really good job. If you are looking for more balanced noise levels, extra single rad will be handy.

I just think people always over-do rads. I tell people I had a 980x oc'd to 4.2-4.3, and a GTX 480SC OC'd to 825++ on a single TFC triple rad.. and they freak out. Then I tell them nothing hit past 52c, and they don't believe me.
I've seen people on overclocker forums putting two triple rads on one 980x, and a triple rad for each video card. To each his own, but that's a waste of money imo. That's not near the case in this OP question.. and I guess adding one 120 rad wont restrict water flow "too much" (depending on how you route the tubing, and if you use any angle adapters) but if I were you (and i'm not) i'd see how a dual rad performs, and upgrade later if it's not to your liking.
