I was really hoping to undervolt the CPU's, as the thermal spec on intel site lists 1.16-1.2V as proper Vcore, however, the supermicro BIOS gives me ZERO voltage adjusting. We even flashed to the latest BIOS. Ah well, we'll have to live with it.

Hence the high temps. That sucks.

Yes it does. Oh well. I am happy with the results now. And it is whisper quiet (except of course the 8800gt's when the get loaded, they suffer from the voltage coil sqeak). But other than that, definitely a Sleeper!

I've been reading about the Supermicro motherboards - technically, the board should recongnize the CPU's voltage requirements and adjust accordingly. I would call Supermicro's Tech support and ask about that - since their FAQ yields nothing.
