Default Best loop configuration?

Hey all, I am adding some extra parts to my current loop. Just thinking of how best to arrange it. So Far, I have this:

Res-pump-chipset-VGA-RAD-CPU-RES

I am adding a second dual Swiftech RAD, the one with the RES built in, going to hang it off the back with a RADbox. Currently I have a single Swiftech Dual120mm RAD in the top of my TJ09. What would the best config be? I don't know which RAD will provide the best cooling, as the one in the top gets fed warm air from the mobo, but the one on the back will get fed warm air from the powesupply.... Which one should I have cooling my CPU?

Should it go:

RESrad-Pump-VGA-VGA-Chipset-RAD-CPU-RESrad?

This is one aspect of those new resrads I don't like. A typical loop would be res - pump - rad - cpu. This allows the pump maximum liquid flow from the res, and still provide the coolest liquid to the cpu.

Now with your parts you could also go for:

resrad - pump - cpu - NB - rad - vga - vga - resrad.

Well, thanks! I guess I will map it all out tomorrow and see what the best and easiest way to route all the tubing will be. Should look nice once it's all done!

I think this would be a good loop config (if I understand your components correctly)

I'd mount the rez-rad as high as possible to get the rez portion as high as possible in your lopp and to get the barbs as high as possible to have access to your GPU blocks.

Have fun :)

good idea JD!

A rad between each unit. Cool the liquid before the cpu/nb and again before the gpu's.

I like it.

Yup, another option. But I would rather use the external rad to cool the CPU / NB, and use the internal rad to cool both cards. If that's possible with the component locations.

I like it! My top RAD is already in place, so I wont be swapping the location, but that was kindof what I had in mind. I'll show you when I have it all together!

I think this may be the best way to do it, as the case has holes already on the back of the case for watercooling. It would also use the shortest runs of cables I think.

By the way, we rule at Paint!

You're putting the heat load of both vga cards and the NB on the internal rad, which then will rely on the hotter internal air to cool the cpu. I would try something else - but you are getting the pattern.
