My System Specs

Default Need some barb/fitting advice (W/C noob)

Hello all,

I need a few more parts for my first W/C loop and the barbs/fittings/tubing categories are where I've always been a little confused.

My gear so far is:

Pump/Res: MCP 355 with XSPC res/top (purchased from Kruzn in the b/s/t forum)

Rad: Thermochill 120.2 NCIX.com - Buy Thermochill PA120.2 Dual 120MM Fan Water Cooling Radiator with 15MM Spacing *No Barbs* - 5060207430012 In Canada.

I still need a CPU block but I'm thinking I will grab an EK Supreme HF with an Indigo Xtreme kit from Dazmode.

So now I need barbs/fittings/tubing.

The only G3/8 barbs I've seen are on backorder from NCIX so I was thinking I should get these to expedite matters:
NCIX.com - Buy Bitspower BP-BSWP-C23 G3/8 Male to G1/4 Female Socket Adapter -BLACK SPARKLE- (Single) - BP-BSWP-C23 In Canada.

Can I get some recommendations for what I will need to complete this loop? I don't need to see my loop at all so I don't care about looks (dyes/lights/etc.). Thanks.

Just get some 1/2" barbs and 3/8 tubing and call it a day.

Or you can do 1/2" barbs and 7/16 tubing if you can find it.

Either of those would be your best bet for a good tight loop.

If you go that route, just be aware that it'll be a very tight fit getting the tube over the barb. You'll most likely need to soak the tubing in boiling hot water to soften it up enough.

I actually have 10' of 7/16 tubing that I bought awhile ago for a build that I never got started on.

So, barb/fitting-wise, all I'll need is those G3/8 adapters, two 1/2" barbs for the radiator, and...fittings for the cpu block?

Just think of "two" for everything. Two barbs for the CPU block, Two barbs for the pump. Two barbs for the Radiator (G3/8 THOUGH!)

Yes.

2 barbs for most things; 2 cpu block, rad, res, pump etc.

3/8 rad? haven't seen those for awhile heh.

All thermochill radiators are G3/8. I have an old TC rad that is G3/8 AND 24.55mm fan spacing And it went through hell and back to get 100% flux free.

My PA120.3's have seen about 30-40 flushes/soaks with hot tap water, another dozen with distilled, and a couple with vinegar solution. I think I've almost got all the flux out now...
