Default Thermaltake DuOrb VGA Cooler

I thought I'd post and say I got a DuOrb, and will report with my temp results on my 8800GTX shortly.

Ok, as a quick update. Just installed it, and it is idle 51, and have only used ATItool to load it, at which it maxed at 59 degrees. I will post back with real results tomorrow or the next day. So far, very impressed!! Plus it was a breeze to install and the ramsinks actually stick!! Silent as well. Here she is!!

Ok, HUGE update.... Just played about 3 hours of Crysis, and when I closed the game to check temps, my GPU with the DuOrb was at 99 degrees, and falling! This is crazy! Why would it drop my idle temps by 20 degrees, but then my load temps go up! Anyone have a better review about this? The temps sure do lower quickly though, as soon as I exit the game, it goes down about 1 degree per second.

Well, we at least know it's a great cooler for idle, but that's just messed if it can't keep up with it under stress like that, as 99 is...well, hot. I'll see if I can look into it, as this...intrigues me!

I think it has to do where it is located in my case. I have it in the Bottom PCIe slot to run SLI, and there is not really any exaust in that area. The PSU is mounted fan facing down, which I may change to facing up, so that it pulls the hot air from the Vid card out of the case. This may change my temps, and I will report back when I make my changes, because yeah, 99 is way too hot. My watercooled GTX wasn't even hitting 55. If all else fails, a second waterblock will have to do.

I got the Duorb on a 8800GT,droped my idle temps from 47c to 36c and load temps after 10 mins from 79c to a unbelievable 48c ,this is in Crysis.I have a Antec 900 with 5 120's and 1 200mm fan so there is very good air flow, the Duorb even let me overclock core 20MHz more and shaders 30MHz,very happy with this GPU cooler,so much better than stock
