What are you looking for? Have you shopped around Canada first?

Personally, I buy all my water cooling gear from Gary @ Sidewindercomputers.com -- that shop is simply the best. Always use "priority mail international" from Sidewinder, it's the cheapest.

You might want to order several parts at the same time. Shipping from another country is going to cost you, so large orders really help to spread the cost and make it less painful.

Use USPS for sure. I've bought from Performance-PC's a good few dozen times w/ minimal brokerage fees.

I buy tons online from the US. UPS fees usually winds up to be a minimum of 10% of the merchandise value. That's on top of the shipping cost. USPS is usually free, but there can be some duties depending where the items originated (some NAFTA deal).

Go USPS shipping for sure, and +1 for performance PCs

Avoid all couriers. USPS is the only way to go.

Always use USPS, if your buying from Gary @ Sidewinder send him an email right after placing your order and ask him to put a lesser value on your order, he's very good about that sort of thing. I refuse to order from FrozenCPU because they overcharge on the shipping and frankly I don't think they care about their Canadian customers, having said that, I do on occasion drive down with my wife for a weekend and stop off to pick up a pile of stuff. I also no longer order from P-PC's unless I absolutely have too due to the fact they no longer take Can. credit card orders, paypal only which ends up costing a double shot if you use your credit card through paypal, you pay the paypal exchange fee and reg. fees, credit card exchange rate, it's just not worth it imo.

No need to do this, he takes care of all of his Canuck customers ;) OP, you should also look @ Dazmode.com to see if they carry your stuff. He's a member here and carries some decent brands.

Keep in mind, shipping stuff from the States can also take considerably longer especially with USPS because stuff usually gets stuck in customs for longer. Factor in 2-3 additional shipping days.

You also WILL get dinged $5 min for brokering through USPS, and you get charged both taxes no matter what.

As someone mentioned earlier, most US stores won't accept Canadian CC's either, so paypal is the only option and you are paying an extra 2% for their padded exchange.

And there is always the warranty issue if anything goes wrong.

Plenty of good shops up in Canada that carry stuff. I would exhaust resources here first, you almost always winding up paying the same amount anyways.
