Hk3 has issues with caps, don't want to bend caps tops to fit.

options slide the mounting bracket within block to allow clearance or mill groves for caps ends

I think you will have to change your block my friend. Many X58 board have the same caps at the same place and it's the first time I see this issue.

grab a dremel and trim it. Or get a non dfi board (not asrock either)

The board is not the problem. The water block is. Look at this GA X58 UD5. Samething. EVGA board also have the same caps at the same place. That the intel ref design.

First of all, you don't have the block installed properly... where are the springs, spacers and washers?

I've owned a few HK blocks, and they fit "snug" on all the boards I've tried (EVGA x58 micro, x58 LE and SR-2). The mounting holes on the LE didn't quite line up, but with the proper mounting hardware, I was able to angle the screw slighty in order to get it to line up with the spacer.

G'luck.

...installation is correct on my keyboard....lolz

oh a angled stud is very good on torsional load.....sorry but not in my books

hence milled out for to line up correctly not force twisting mounting hardware.

wait for next round of pic's for springs an see how it is done correctly

LOL, I'm not talking a 45 degree angle, I just mean it gives you that little bit of play you need to get it all lined up.

trimmed off the caps extra nibbs sticking out from bottom of MB so not to touch girtle plate with a toe nail clipper

the notched groves worked out perfect

for mounting hardward didn't use the supplied nylon washers, used the stand off's as stud's on back plate and used the nuts as jam nuts
