Default Cooling question (fan and heatsink)

Two questions for everyone...man I feel dumb asking the first, I feel as if I should know this.

1. My Antec 900 has space for a fan that I can install on the side panel, though every person told me I wouldn't have room with a TRU 120 Extreme and a GTX, but room-a-plenty there is...anyways, should this be an intake or exhaust fan? (for those not familiar with the 900, the fan is on the side panel above/beside the video card)

2. My TRU 120 Extreme is working, I know that much because my readings on Coretemp are lower by nearly 8-9c. What has my curiosity however, is if it is normal for the heat sink to be cool to the touch after 6 hours of processor load (at 53c versus 63c without the ultra HSF). Does this mean I have great air cooling? Or is it indicative of a bad assembly? I had a hard time installing the screws and I was wondering if anyone else had similar experiences.

Once again, thanks

The most popular configuration is intake in bottom front/side panel and outlet through PSU/mid-upper back(and a blow-hole if you have one). The best thing is to calculate two scenarios with the side fan as intake and output..then try and get the results as close as possible.(remember the PSU..Sometimes hard to get a true # on that). Most times it's best with the side fan as intake, as it may just suck out the fresh air coming from the front fan(s). GL
