My System Specs

Default Is this worth it? *done*

I need some advice on whether or not the components i'm buying are going to be worth it.

I'm buying this from some guy online and he sounds trustworthy, and the list is:

Thermochill PA 120.3 Radiator
Swiftech MCP655 high capacity pump
Swiftech Micro Reservoir 3 Fan covers
your tubing and fittings

all for 130. there is a catch though, these components are supposedly 2 years old, and he has assured me that they don't leak. the rad costs 100 when new, pump is like... 75, res is like 20 and i get the fittings, which makes this seem like a steal.

My question is, is it worth it? Are there any visible kinks that i should be aware of before buying them when i meet up with this guy?

Thanks guys

Assuming the kit is in good repair it looks like a reasonable price to me. What fittings are they, and how many?

1/2" fittings and i'm guessing that he's going to provide the amount that he used when he had those components in his WC loop

And when you say it's a reasonable price, what do you mean by that? I'm still trying to grasp what the price ranges are. thanks

Just a quick trip over to ncix shows the exact same pump/res/rad being around $200 new. It's up to you to decide if 2 yr old kit is worth 65% of it's value. The tubing / barbs has some value, but in all honesty, unless the tubing is fresh, you'll probably want/need fresh tubing.

thanks sswilson!

in my original post, I was wondering if i should take note to some specific details of the components physically, do you have any suggestions to that?

And about those tubes, yeah you're right, I'll probably have to change them up, but I'll use them to make a loop outside of my PC to get a good idea of how WCing works (complete 'budget-sensed' noob here=P).

Thanks in advance!

it seems to be good price if they are in perfect working condition, you probably have to change the tubes (an expance of 17$ for 10 feet with Dazmode.com)
for new product it semms to be
100$ Rad
70$ pump
20$ res
5$ each fitting ( i think you'll get 4 at least ) = 20$

it is around 200$ new

cool! thanks medwes!

I bought it, the rad looks like it's in good condidtion, a few of the fins are a little dinged up, but nothign i can't fix... when i mean a few, i mean a few LOL

the pump so far looks quite promising, he told me it runs quiet when inside the case, and you could hear a little hum which is natural.

thanks guys! you guys were great help =)

Be sure to grab some pics of your gear, and let us know how you make out. Once you've got water, nothing else will do.... ;)

Keep that statement in your mind Feerof, because once the WCing gets going you'll know how awesome it is and how hard it is to get off of it (sounds like drugs ). I had a hard time selling my CPU loop because seeing an OC'd i7 920 at <50C load was amazing.
