Default HeatKiller 3.0 @ 87C WTF?!

I setup a loop, Microresv2 -> MCP655 -> 240mm radiator -> HeatKiller 1156 -> Microres.

Now my i7 860 is @ 4.0 (200x20)

vCore +0.19750v
VTT 1.355v

When the cpu is loaded the temps reach 92C, what the feck eh?

Advice?

Is the MCP655 the controllable one? If so is it set at setting 1? Did you leave the plastic on the block base? Did you mount the HK correctly? It is very tricky to mount properly.

I mounted HK 3.0 1156 (no plastic obviously) Arctic Silver paste, but my screws are 11.1mm (instead of 18.7mm mentioned by the manufacturer).

I need assistance :(

1. Check coolant flow
2. Show us your setup
3. recheck mounting. Make sure it's mounted with good pressure.

What's your thermal paste spread look like? Unless you have an abnormally hot chip (and they do exist), your situation sounds a lot like a bad mount. The water block isn't pressing down on any motherboard components, is it? Besides, the CPU, I mean?
